Dr. Heather Bohez

B.Sc., N.D.

Appreciating and acknowledging this blessed vast country and the people who came before us, is the beginning for Dr. Heather Bohez, ND.

Heather was raised in Calgary, went to the University of Victoria, and played varsity basketball where she practiced her leadership skills as a co captain and captain, trained and played for Canada’s National Women’s Basketball team in Toronto, and graduated as a Naturopathic Doctor from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto.

She loves learning. Her latest round of continuing education courses include:

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia – certification course
    • First Line Therapy certification with Metagenics
    • The Belly: What’s Going on in There
    • Lab Testing Series through CCNM
    • Neutralizing Clinical Language
    • Applied Channel Theory

Dr. Bohez leans to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Applied Channel Theory principles when trying to understand and assess what is happening in her patients’ bodies. Her gifted naturopathic bodywork and acupuncture treatments help remove blockages in the flow of Qi/energy that accumulate in muscles tissue and cause stiffness and stagnation of blood. Stiffness creates abnormal pressure on nerves, lymph nodes, and blood vessels, which adversely affects the function of the skeletal system and internal organs. (Acupuncture Points – Permacharts)

Dr. Bohez, ND has had many wonderful teachers. She is thankful for all she has and continues to learn from her patients, colleagues at clinic and school, students at Canadian Independent College, her incredible husband and amazing sons, and her loving sisters and top shelf mom and dad.
